Chris Garrity is a researcher working on the Computer Clubhouse Village project. The Village is an online community intranet that connects Clubhouse youth, mentors and staff from all parts of the globe. For some time her projects have involved different aspects of applying new technology to learning and education in online settings. A primary focus has been developing media-rich web-based technologies for online communities of learners.
Prior to joining the Lifelong Kindergarten group Chris worked for many years in the software industry. Her projects ranged from software analysis tools for NASA's International Space Station, to multimedia training for programming languages, to a web-based multi-user environment for 5th and 6th graders to explore math and science concepts.
